The food was really nothing to write home about. The service was mostly adequate. I had a burger that was was made from very low quality (pink slime) ground beef.
It wasn't awful, but there are better diners in the area that I would go to first next time.
Our party of two was seated immediately and greeted with a smile this past snow storm : ) Hubby ordered Lamb which was discovered to be unavailable, but was then offered delicious prime rib in its place (for the same price!) Refills and extra bread was offered several times during our meal. Desserts were so inviting we left with a whole homemade carrot cake : ) Yum!
The Collegeville is an exceptional place to eat. The staff, the managers and owners are friendly and professional My husband and I are frequent customer' s and we highly recommend this diner for good food always! I am happy to give it a five star rating.
It is an old-fashioned diner with an upscale feel prices are very very reasonable. A good place for a quick bite a nice date or to take your family for a good dinner that won't break your budget. Parking is around back but access to the highways are very easy to do. If you were coming up 422 get off on route 29 then follow it North until you come into Collegeville turn left when you can't go straight anymore and the diner is on your left. It is well worth the trip!
Service is friendly, food comes out quickly, cooked as requested. Overall it's a really solid, family friendly diner. Ordered 3 eggs over medium, bacon, rye bread and hash browns. Bacon was crisp, eggs a tiny bit runny, just enough to dip the toast in. Hash browns golden. Wife had an omelette, daughter had sausage and scrambled eggs. Everyone enjoyed their food!
