Amarilis Cafe

I happened to find this place by luck. I was supposed to have bbq lunch across the street but they were closed. This restaurant was a great find! I am so excited! I grew up eating Spanish food through friends that are from Spain,Cuba and PR. Food is fresh and authentic great tasting too. I had roast pork, rice with pinto beans and sweet fried bananas. My friend had the beef stew with rice. (This her first experience with Spanish food)and she loved it!The server was friendly and the place was spotless.
The menu is written in both English and Spanish. The price was more than reasonable. Will be back soon.

Fantastic place for Spanish food in Lansdale. They are counter serve and they are very generous in their portions. Meats include goat, chicken beef and pork, along with plantains and empanadas. $11 for a lunch plate heaping full and a drink. Will be back the next time I am in town.

wow, just wow. fantastic selection of delicious home made Spanish stews that you can gape at by the counter while you try to make up your mind. I had the chicken stew which was fall off the bone tender and very flavorful. don't forget to request the home made hot sauce which will give the yellow rice a nice kick. I'll probably be there all of next week trying out every single stew in the collection. one thing to bear in mind, it's cash only.

Excellent food, excellent service, very very good. The price per portion cannot be beat. Very happy they're open again. It is cash-only, however they have added an ATM in the place for those of us who never carry cash.
