Wisters Bbq

New venue with a parking lot the old one was missing. Tasty food but carolina bbq was not offered tonight. Soft drinks only in bottles where the old place had a dispenser. Needs background music and curtains and license to sell beer.

Food was fresh and good portions, especially for the price. The sauces were tasty!! The new location is really nice. I spoke with the owner today and he sends like a really nice guy!!!

If you’re looking for the best BBQ in the Philadelphia area, look no further. I’ve tried pretty much the entire menu: the Ribs, Brisket and Wings are my personal favorite and are as good as you will find anywhere. But what really sets Wister’s apart and takes it to a level no BBQ restaurant in the area can match is the amazing and creative dishes Michael (the owner and pitmaster) creates. A smoked brisket cheesesteak? Where else are you going to find that? Smo-fried chicken? Never seen it anywhere else and once I tried it, I couldn’t go back to regular fried chicken. And oh could I wax poetic about the specials he runs. One week he decides to just drop a pastrami sandwich that would put any deli outside of NYC to shame. Next week he’s got a smoked turkey gobbler sandwich that is heads and shoulders above Wawa and Capriotti’s.

The only downside to Wister’s WAS that getting a parking spot was difficult. I say WAS (past tense) because Wister’s just opened (literally yesterday) in a brand spanking new storefront on Broad Street in a shopping center with ample parking. The new spot is a major upgrade. Decor inside is very nice and they have a big patio for al fresco dining in the warmer months.

Can’t recommend this place enough. Dine in, take out, whatever your fancy give them a try.

Beautiful new location with plenty of parking. Great reception, order taking and order pickup area. Food was exceptional. Ordered a rack of ribs which were the best ever and that’s saying something as I’ve had some of the best BBQ our country has to offer.. Also had an order of Smoked wings which were excellent as well. I highly recommend you give Wister’s a try!

This restaurant moved within lansdale, started in 2001. As of 3/9/23 still in under construction, however the menus are up, the hours are posted and some tables are in place. Expecting this to be as good as the former facility once the doors open.
