Local place, great for breakfast! Looks like they opened up more seating inside which is great as there always seems to be a seating wait on weekends. Our “over-easy” eggs were cooked to perfection!
The food was absolutely delicious! Also, major kudos to the staff for helping me and my son (whom has several food allergies) feel comfortable with the preparation of his meal. Our server, Lauren, was wonderful in confirming the specifications of our order over the phone before we arrived and then again once we placed the order in the cafe. It means the world to us for such great care to be taken with the handling of my son's food in order for him to eat safely and without instance. We will be back for sure!
Great breakfast food, and their dark roast coffee is really good! They have excellent home fries and pancakes, and the wait staff was super friendly. I definitely plan to go back the next time I am in the area.
I've been going to Shorty's for years and normally I would give them 5 stars but this last visit was a little rough. The food was amazing as always and I'm pleased to see they have started adding some adventurous options to the specials. They used to change their menu frequently so I'm hoping this is a good sign that the menu will continue to evolve.
There were two of us and we waited a reasonable 15 minutes to get a table on a busy Sunday morning. Where it went wrong was after we were seated. It took another hour and a half to get our food. The issue was not with our waitress, she was very attentive- I think they had too many people for what the kitchen was able to handle.
It's unusual for them since there's not many breakfast options in Pottstown, and they're used to busy weekends. I'm hoping this was a fluke because I really love eating here and it's an institution in this area. I will try again and see what happens!
Food is good. Very small establishment, I don't recommend going at peak times. 20 minute wait in windswept front door area. Standing room only. Consider that children tire fast and may not wait long. They have specialty french toast and pancakes, recommend both.
