Jim's Buffet

1st time in a buffet type dinning in PA. They definitely lived up to my expectations. Fried rice had a very good taste, so did the lo mein, a good combination of Chinese food, with few other comfort dishes. Dessert was also very good, humongous tasty grapes, pastries that hit the right spot. Service as expected for this type of atmosphere, and a cute little baby helping daddy collect from patrons.

This is an interesting chinese style buffet. The food is usually okay, but often the temperature of the foods at the first island (where the dumplings are) is a bit cool. I don't know if the steam table is broken, or if they keep it down, but the food there usually isn't warm enough.

They have a hibachi style station, but I rarely see anyone having their food cooked there.

They do have a nice salad and fruit selection, as well as deserts and ice cream.

Unfortunately, the place is pretty gross and dirty inside. I've even seen the owner's baby crawling around the floor by the buffet!

Service is good, as the workers are quick to clean dirty plates off of the table, and to refill drinks.

Overall, I like this place, but it's not a high quality establishment....

Bad reviews aside, it's a good economical lunch for me. Depending on appetite I will do buffet or take out (charged by the pound). Standard food items as well as American stuff for kids like pizza, chicken nuggets, etc.
