Fairly standard americanised Indian cuisine. Good food with mild flavours and quality meats.
The chilli fish was battered in chickpea flour, fried and sauced with soy and red chili paste. Personally felt the flour was overpowering. The dish might’ve been better if the fish pieces were cubed instead of large filets as it would’ve allowed more surface area for the sauce.
The curries were really creamy.
Warmth in all senses. Lamb roganjosh and mango chicken among our favorites. Flavors pleasantly strong, colors, too. When our table is filled with luscious curries and noses with heavenly aroma, in the cozy warm dine-in space, we get an instant reboot from whatever cold or bumpy day that hit us. My whole family love this place, esp my middle school boys. We can dial up the spicy level all the way to the authentic hot. The sweet rice and mango lassi drinks balance out the dishes wonderfully.
Take-away works smoothly, too. Website easy to read and use, phone call also easy.
The owner and crew have such genuine pride and love for the food and culture that gives a warm soul to this place.
I was walking around the area, looking for something to eat. I didn't have a taste for anything in particular. As I turned the corner, I noticed the restaurant, and I could smell the delicious aroma of food from outside. I knew I had to check out the menu.
They have menus outside at the door and a small area for outdoor seating. The inside was clean and presentable, with a smell of incense in the air. The host kindly took my order as I was going to dine in and take some items for takeout.
For dine-in, I ordered the Srinagar Special Lamb cooked in a creamy sauce and herbs. For takeout, I ordered the Butter Chicken, Garlic Naan, and Aloo Naan stuffed with mashed potatoes and spices. For the entrees, the spice-level choices are mild, medium, and spicy.
The food was amazingly delicious! This is comforting food! They cook food like they care about you. The meats were succulent, and the sauces were well-spiced. The Naan was soft, tender, and flavorful.
With the excellent service and delicious food, I would not hesitate to eat here again!
Great Indian food! I just tried this for the first time since they opened and I’m extremely impressed. We got takeout and everything we ordered was very flavorful with a nice balance of spice. This has become my new favorite Indian restaurant in the Narberth area.
Great service and some of the best food I’ve ever had. Naan bread is on point, and curry is flavorful without being overly spicy. 11/10
