I am from pit of town and this place was excellent. Great wood fire pizza and a nice variety of choices. If you want a beer or wine with your meal it is BYOB.
Great place. I frequent for lunch. Awesome wood fired oven pizza and sandwiches. They have a nice dining area upstairs as well with nice country atmosphere. Try it, you won't be disappointed.
Great historical atmosphere with millstones, artifacts, and photos. Comfortable food served with friendly and efficient service. My husband and son loved their cheese steaks. My turkey cranberry sandwich and salad were excellent. The boardwalk fries that we shared were a bit greasy...but then maybe that's the point. Homemade desserts were yum. All in all, we really enjoyed our meal and the touch of local history.
Was here for lunch, everything I had was excellent. They have some really unique items on the menu as well. It was busy and lively in there, service was great though, even with a full seating area.
This place has the capability of being 5 star. But, I had the vegetable pizza with red sauce. The ingredients and flavors are inredible The portion of the crust that was cooked was good. But it was very very wet. Impossible to eat. The dough was still uncooked on top, underneath all of the wet vegetables which isn't ideal. I feel like the dough needs to be partially cooked on top before putting sauce and toppings on it.
The fact I gave it "3 stars" is a testament to the flavor and quality of ingredients . It was essentially impossible to eat like an undercooked pizza crust with a bowl of soup on top and under most circumstances would get a 1 or a 2. I think if they can make their pie crust cooked, unless I just got a bad one, this place could be extraordinary. I'm hopeful!
Good luck!
