I wasn’t sure how the experience would be since all I know about the Halal Guys living in NY is their food cart. I am glad to say that they opened a location in Philly even though it’s still a 30 min drive for me. The quality is the same as to the food cart and I hope they keep that standard. Cost is maybe a $1 more than the cart but totally understandable. As long as this is place around I’ll keep coming back.
Really good food, same as you'd expect from Halal Guys. Small space, clean private bathrooms. Service is quick and to the point and all the veggies were fresh.
Make sure you get lots of white sauce!
Tremendously busy on the weekends (for good reason) this great Mediterranean dive is pretty awesome in that you can get anything you'd like for a fairly cheap fare (11.99 with a drink).
Want extra sauce? They wont hold back, they are even willing to give you the bottle (with request) to make sure you have enough.
I don't normally rate chains, because I don't feel that they need a rating, and that they are just a reflection of the chain (ex. McDonalds, Burger King, etc) but I can honestly say I've never had a bad meal here.
Can’t get a bad meal here. Always fast and friendly service as well. Prices slightly above your average food truck level, but you get to enjoy indoors. Get the white sauce of course.
First time ordering from them as takeout and it was Amazing! The order was done to perfection. The pita was soft and warm and filled with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, peppers and jalapeños! And of course the white sauce and hot sauce in the side. It’s so great that the sauces come in packets so you can put as much or as little on your sandwich as you want. Great jobs guys!
