Road Hawg BBQ

Good HEAVENS, that's good barbecue!!!! Got the Barbecue Sampler as take-out; had my mouth watering all the way home. Heard good things about this place, and the food didn't disappoint one bit. I'm not a wings fan, but theirs, oh man, their wings made my tastebuds SING with joy! Ditto the brisket, pulled pork and the ribs, and the sides weren't just supporting actors--they deserve equal billing with the meats. The Sampler portions are generous enough to make four meals for one person, so I don't have to cook at all this weekend! I think this will become my regular Friday evening stop on the way home from work...

Good stop for Appalachian Trail hikers!

OMG Good! The sauces are spot on, meat is cooked perfectly, and both the coleslaw and beans are homemade. This small and charming restaurant can be quite busy; as it deserves to be!

I had the ribs and fries, which were fantastic. The Beef brisket and bbq pork also looks and smells wonderful, I will be trying those next.

Be advised that the location Google Maps shows is incorrect. It is actually just past the highway overpass, practically underneath it.

Road Hawg is one of the best things this little town has going for it. The food is absolutely exceptional, both the pork as well as beef BBQ. The sides are all amazing, too. Their baked beans are worth a percentage of my soul at this point. For the portions and service you get, the price is *very* reasonable and honestly the only downside is that I wish I had enough appetite to eat it every day, and that's not really a downside! Once you start going, you'll start craving it every couple weeks. It's the best BBQ I've personally ever had.
