La Calaca Feliz

Easy to find, service was great! We opted to sit outside and although it may have been a little too early in the spring, I can see how great a space it would be when it's warmer. Stopped to get a couple happy hour margaritas and had the nachos suggested to us to munch on through a couple rounds. In two words, they were extremely edible, and the mix of margaritas we got alongside them paired perfectly.

We plan on coming back for dinner when it's warmer.

Gets really crowded during happy hour and on weekends, but that's because the food and drinks are consistently good. Tried the tasting menu, was so much food and everything was delicious.
Would definitely make a reservation.

I don't know what to say - this place made the best fajita I've had in my life. After two decades in California, I've eaten so many fajitas. Hundreds. This place makes the best steak fajita I remember having. The meat was flavorful and juicy - I didn't even want sour cream. Get it with the extra cheese and jalapeños. Keeps well in the fridge too! The interior of this place is fairly fancy but don't let that scare you off. Get the fajita.

This is such a fun place! The decor is super creative and the food was healthy and full of flavor. The drinks were appropriately priced, and there were a lot of dishes you don't normally see at the more cookie cutter restaurants. It got loud, but I was with a group, so that was no issue.

Truly fantastic service, our waiter was jovial, interested and helpful. The three chili margarita was excellent, and some of the dishes were superb, as indeed was the lettuce taco with pig ears. The ceviche left me a little cold, as the semi frozen strawberries served in it. Shrimps and grits - fabulous. Cheesecake- not very special. The ambiance and decor funky and pleasant, but the noise level is simply unbearable and detracts from the overall very positive impression we had throughout the evening.
