Valley Green Inn

Was closed when I was there for change of service but always a great time and can enjoy park before or after brunch, lunch or dinner. Highly recommend

Valley green is always a great dining experience. It's the definition of cozy in the heart of the wissahickon woods in a great historic building. And the food is great too!

My wife and I went to the Valley Green Inn for dinner. We made reservations online for 7 pm on a Friday night. We arrived shortly before our reservation time, and we were seated promptly.

A couple of things we noticed before being seated...the restaurant is in a very cool location. It is by a rustic old river in the middle of the woods, but still within the Philadelphia city limits. When you go inside, you feel like you are in a different time and place. The Inn itself is gorgeous.

My wife and I were promptly seated with our child. The service was really exceptional. Our waiter was extremely polite, helpful with the menu and took the time to go over all of the specials

When our food came we were not disappointed. The food was exceptional. And the prices were pretty reasonable for a higher end restaurant. We ordered the baked Mac & Cheese for an appetizer. The dish was amazing. I had the bacon wrapped meatloaf, which I was informed is one of the most popular items on the menu. My wife had the catfish, which was out of this world!

When we ordered our waiter let us know we were going to end up sharing the dishes, because we weren’t going to be able to decide which one we liked more. He was right! Both of our dinners were amazing.

When the check came we were really shocked to see that the bill was not more than it was. We felt like we ate fivestar dining for a fraction of the price. My wife and I are looking forward to returning to this amazing find! And we highly recommend to others.

Very nice facility, food and service. Wonderful location on the creek nestled in a deep valley. The parking is limited, oft necessitating a good walk up a steep hill. Cellular service isn't possible until you hike out of the valley.

It was my first visit, and I am very impressive at its cozy and pretty atmosphere. I visited Valley Green Inn with my friend after lunch, so my friend and I had only a cup of tea each other. The place was almost empty because of the time and wet weather, I guess.
All of its staffs were very kind and friendly which made my time being there was very comfortable and enjoyable. I wish I would know this place much earlier.
