I don't know how many ways you can say fantastic! The is a very creative menu. There was vegetarian hash for me and a bologna omelet for my son. A breakfast place, for me is judged by the quality of their tea selection. The tea selection here is wonderful. Try the vanilla rooibos. You won't go wrong. The service is fast, friendly and efficient. They try hard to accommodate the waiting crowd. The Dutch is awesome.
By far the best brunch in the city. I have never been more impressed by a breakfast meal before! The savory dutch baby and the savory waffle are to die for. I can’t wait to go back and try something sweet!
I used to love this place but the last couple times were hit or miss. Went in mid week for a Cobb salad and it was the smallest $15 salad I’ve ever seen, I almost asked if they had run out of lettuce. The salad was still good but for $15 should have been more substantial.
We've been to the Dutch several times over the past 18 months. The good: the food is amazing. Hats off to the chefs. Everything tastes delicious, portions are adequate, and the menu is creative. I especially love the Dutch baby! The decor is another highlight: cheerful, sunny, and European feeling. Now for the bad: the service is consistently terrible. Waitstaff appear to be annoyed by your presence. Good luck having a drink refilled. There is even a sign posted instructing you to leave your table soon after finishing your meal. I agree this is a polite thing to do if a line is forming, but for a restaurant to put up a sign demanding it is rude. I also take issue with the $3.50 coffee...total price gouging. We will be back for the food, but we always have to steel ourselves to deal with the rude staff and feeling of being rushed out after we eat.
Wonderful, clever food that is comforting yet stimulating. They have yummy innovative dishes like cheesesteak waffles and an eggs Benedict dish that features cream chipped beef and ring bologna. The service is prompt and attentive. The establishment is clean and neat. The down side is the scarcity of table seating as it is a very small venue. We sat at the counter near the grill. It was fun to watch the very talented cooks but also very hot.
