Sweet Lucy's Smokehouse

The best ribs and sides within hundreds of miles. But very expensive. The service is slower than a dead snail but the mega-delicious food is worth the wait. Sweet Lucy's is a local legend for a reason. By the way, negative reviews from jealous competitors do not count.

My wife and I ordered our food online so that we could pick it up later and take it to a friend's house.
After running some errands, we arrived at the restaurant, added a dish to our order, which they added to our online payment already made, and promptly handed us our food. We double checked everything in our bags because we all know the feeling of pulling away only to discover someone forgot something. But Sweet Lucy's remembered everything, of course.
Once we arrived at our friend's place and unpacked the food, we sat down to dinner.
Let me tell you, after half an hour drive and ten minutes to unpack and set up for dinner, the food was still hot and fresh, and absolutely everything was delicious! Our friends kept telling us how amazing the smoked chopped beef was, how delicious the chicken was, how the cucumber and tomato salad tastes just like how their mom used to make it, how perfect the mac and cheese was... Everything was great!
We've been to Sweet Lucy's several times before, but being reminded how good the food is, and seeing they've added another section for dining out at their restaurant, we'll be returning soon!

Not from the area so this place was ecommended. It was great! The meats melt in your mouth and smoked just right. Prices are really good for the amount of food you get. Great experience.

Really good barbecue, I tried both the brisket and the pulled pork which were fantastic. The side dishes are standard comfort food designed for maximum flavor and maximum artery clogging. The baked beans are loaded with ham and/or bacon which made them particularly good. Only part that was a little confusing was table service versus takeout - you need to put in your name for a table and then order at the front entrance. They'll bring your food out to you after that. There's a full bar as well though I did not partake.

Nice place to eat. I usually go for the famous BBQ buffet. My only negative observation is the meat , while tender and juicy," lacks that signature hickory smoked flavor. The meat is bland. And the BBQ sauce, is low on flavor too
. but overall good food. Good , not great
