I have lost count on how many times I have eaten here but definitely 15+ times in a course of a year of them opening. Their quality is unmatched in Rawnhurst area. Today they went above and beyond. I called them starving at 9:50pm. They asked if I could come by 10pm. Food ready by 9:59pm. They could have ignored the call or said sorry kitchen just closed and cleaned. That’s how a 5 star Ramen/Hibachi place operates, above and beyond!
Prices were nice, good quantity of food for the hibachi dishes, less so for the appetizers but that's to be expected in 2022. Taste was better than other Philly ramen shops, and I didn't even get a spicy one (was sharing with family). I had the Tonkotsu Ramen - came with a nice amount of things added.
The soup was actually nice and hot unlike a certain other Northeast Philadelphia ramen restaurant, and they gave a fair amount of broth.
The hibachi was nice and tender - the chicken, steak, and shrimp are all quite good and up there with the best hibachi restaurants.
The dipping sauces for the appetizers were a unique sweet and spicy style that wasn't a traditional sweet chili sauce that you'd find, and the tempura sauce wasn't as salty. I'm pretty sure this restaurant is making some of their sauces in-house, or they're at least picking some more unique sauces that are nicely balanced.
The service was very nice, lovely, and the atmosphere, cleanliness, and lighting in the restaurant is great as well. It's festive this time of year.
I like food that's a bit aggressively seasoned, and this was like 90% there - I'd probably just ask for some heat next time and be good.
Prices are fair, food is yummy. My first time ordering and everyone was pleased. They give a lot of food!!! Definitely check them out when you can. 😋 #delicious
We’ve enjoyed every meal we’ve had here since they opened. The wife and I stopped by today for lunch and tried some new things on the menu - I had the don buri bowl and she had the bulgogi. Loved them both.
My chicken cutlet was well seasoned and there was a healthy portion of curry (not just a drizzle like at another local japanese place). Her bulgogi was incredibly tender and flavorful.
They were a little delayed getting our appetizer (spring rolls) out, which we didn’t mind at all, but they were incredibly apologetic and comped us a slice of cheesecake. A little rich for the middle of the day but who can turn down cheesecake?
Highly recommend this spot to anyone in the area. Affordable prices with hefty portions is a great combination.
Had a taste for RAMEN 🍜 so I came here because it was not far from my home. As soon as I walked in I was greeted with a smile. Service was fabulous I’m ordering chicken ramen for take out. Can’t wait to eat!! While waiting the woman behind the counter offered me a free lemonade! I will definitely recommend based on service alone!
