Angelo's Pizzeria South Philly

Typically, Angelo's does not have a phone but due to coronavirus they now have only phone orders and no walk-ups. Please note they are cash only.

Now to the pie. It's great. The crust is super light with lightly sweet tomato sauce and sprinkle of fresh basil on top of the cheese. If you are of the persuasion that all pizza tastes the same, don't come here. The subtle superior craftsmanship may be lost on you.

Huge let down to be honest. Hadn't had pizza in 11 months and was told this was the best in Philly and the state. It was not. Sauce was nice. Had the margarita pizza. Liked the basil. My wife loves this style and felt the same.

Gaetano's in Springfield far superior in my opinion.

Maybe I had a bad pizza? Whole family thought it was average.

There is nothing better in Philly, I promise you. The absolute best pizza I have ever had. Don't sleep on the grandma pie, it will rock your world. Their cheesesteak? Forget about it, it's the best. Don't play around just get to Angelo's and try the best. You won't regret it.

I previously posted a negative review because of the lack of ability to call in orders. Im still not happy about having to order in person only, however, a friend kindly gifted us a pizza she picked up. The pizza was excellent! Conclusion: The pizza is great! If you want to wait in person....it is worth it.
