Love this place, love the owner she’s very sweet. The dry pot is delicious!

I’ve ordered via Uber Eats/Grubhub/DoorDash in the past. Only went into the store once for a pick up. The General Tso chicken is delicious and authentic. Even though this is not their fault DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE VIA DOOR DASH! Door Dash places restaurants on their app that they do not have a contract with. So when the delivery person shows up they aren’t able to deliver your food to you. But as the consumer there is no mention of that on the app and you’ll still be shown updates as if the food is being prepared for you. This happened to me while I was hungry and the money was refunded to me as well as a gift card. I wasn’t able to order elsewhere since a curfew was put in place which sucked because you want to support local businesses during this time. Again the fault wasn’t on the restaurant but the app I used to obtain the food.

I placed my order with this place on DoorDash at 6:20 pm on a Friday evening. DoorDash told me The order would be ready in about 35 minutes when I placed it. About 50 minutes after I placed it I saw that my driver had been waiting at the restaurant for quite a while and the order was in prep still. I finally called them to check in at 7:22 they said “yeah no problem, we have your order right here” making me think they were telling me it was ready was ready so then I called the DoorDash driver to ask him if it was ready. He told me he had been sitting there for 30 minutes (which I could actually see it was true on DoorDash) and that it was not ready. I called them again at 7:35 and they admitted it was not ready when I called before and that they needed five more minutes. Our DoorDash driver was finally given the order at 7:55. The food was dropped off just a little bit after 8 PM. So all in all it was nearly 2 hours after we placed the order. Despite all the delivery drama the food in the order was outstanding. It was really really good. I would compare them to Han Dynasty but I like their food more than Han Dynasty and their prices are better. Still, they have to work on communication. They absolutely just have to do better. It’s unacceptable that they would be this behind on orders and not reach out right away to correct expectations and keep them level all along.
