Empanadas United

The mofongo and the empanadas are delicious. I have been going there at least once a week and get the ripe plantain mofongo with chicharron mixed in. You can then add shrimp, fried pork, sausage, pork chops, fried chicken, fried cheese or steak. You get an large portion of the mofongo and a large portion of whatever you add as the side. The empanadas are warm and flaky. I also tried the fried sweet plantains but unfortunately they were not so sweet, but I think they didn't have ripe enough plantains at the time. I will give them a second chance with the fries sweet plantains. The service has been really nice and they are very friendly. For the amount of food you get, prices are acceptable.

Empanadas United is a really great addition to East Falls! I got a three empanadas: chicken and cheese, a ham and cheese, and a guava and cheese. The food came fast, the empanadas were hot, the dough was crispy and flaky, and the cheese was melty. They make them very mild and have a variety of dips, hot sauces, and spicy mayo, so you can adjust spice to your taste. All three empanadas were yummy - my favorite was the ham and cheese. They even threw in a free little pudding treat for valentines day! I will definitely be going back.

I have ordered from Empanadas United 5 times and each time I have been satisfied. The food is delicious as well as affordable, and the staff is welcoming. Ordering both online or at the Kiosk are very effective and easy.

Excellent neighborhood diner. So classically Philly! Went for breakfast and wasn't disappointed. Had the house maple bacon egg sandwich. At first bite I thought maybe a little under seasoned BUT THEN the bacon and maple popped and it was nicely balanced. I would love to return next time I am in town and try their lunch and dinner combos.
Owner is super friendly and runs a very clean cozy joint.
Street parking is tough to find in this area, but search around something will show up. Full venue of coffee and other breakfast and lunch aides and drinks available.

I inquired about catering for 25 people about a week before my event and the staff at Falls Deli were awesome to work with! Communication was great from start to finish, they provided everything I needed, they were very flexible with my requests, the delivery was timely, and the hoagies tasted great! Everyone was very happy with their lunches. I highly recommend!!
