The food is great!
Love the food been going there for years and will continue to
Absolutely great food! There was lots of meat on my sandwich that was balanced out with an equally large amount of sauerkraut and cheese on my Reuben. The generous salami sandwich and turkey breast hoagie we're also reported as delicious. Highly recommend for a good bite to eat while in West Philly.
I miss Lou. May you rest in peace.
I’ve been here only a few times pre-covid and only this once, during Covid-19.
Before giving in to the Pandemic, I decided to make my stand:
Two Drexel Specials and one Pastrami lean on rye, please.
The thru the windows and over the phone reply was:
“Drexel, what ?”
Then followed by all “all the pastrami has fat”.
Well, you could take your chances, here. I opted out and waved off the brief phone conversation.
Settling back into my car, I keyed up an order on Grub Hub. So please don’t forget the pickles, tomatoes and Cel Ray Soda. Wife would be terminally upset if you don’t bah her Black Cherry soda.
God forgive me when I deliver said “lean” pastrami to a young 93 old survivor of Covid.
I’m writing up now, because if Kochs’ fails to deliver to their front door, I’ll be more than happy to introduce the owner operator to my aged mother-in-law.
So here I stand, head in hand, saying,
Oi vey Lou, vus tus to- hock mir chinik. Cause I need this like I need a hole in my head.
Koch’ deli. Food is good by design. Lou always watches over his hungry customers.
