Easily the best slice I’ve had in Philly. Definitely my new go to spot. Not even going to bother with a lengthy review, just give it a shot and thank me later.
This place is becoming one of my weekend traditions after hanging out with my friends in Center City. Their special veggie pizza was absolutely delicious. I didn't think potatoe slices baked right with the pizza was going to work out but they achieved a perfect pizza experience with this one. Their Sicilian pizza is a safe bet for the less adventurous pizza eater.
The pizza is super crunchy not soggy at all and the combinations are unique. I would recommend both the Ricotta and Spinach pizza along with the Hawaiian pizza. The ricotta was extremely smooth and the perfect complement to the spinach; the dough as well is light and fluffy. Additionally, I went on Pie Day (3/14), and right before closing up the owners were very kind and offered my girlfriend and I hot garlic knots with a side of marinara sauce because they had extra dough they were just trying to use up (see pictures). I will definitely be going back. I liked this place better than Lorenzo's pizza and Napoli's pizza.
Best pizza in the Italian market! Delicious and perfectly crispy, yet chewy thin crust. Well-crafted toppings. Quick, well-priced slices and whole pies. All around a more modern and appropriately elevated (no fuss) pizza than the any other quick service pizza in the neighborhood. EXCELLENT addition to the Italian Market, along with other more recent establishments that capture the essential historic charm, but look like they still give a damn.
