Absolutely delicious! Flavorful dishes, cozy dining room, amazing service. So nice to have a restaurant in the neighborhood with delicious vegan options that are clearly marked too. Loved this spot and plan to come back often!
This is my FAVORITE Indian restaurant! I’m thrilled he’s finally in Chestnut Hill! My favorite dishes are Gobhi Manchurian and Shahi Paneer. He makes these in a way that nobody else does!
Fabulous upscale dine in experience! You’ll love this.
Really nice dinner. Reasonably priced Indian cuisine. Excellent food, friendly staff, white tablecloths, quiet. A lovely dining experience.
I have been a Nirvana customer for more than 5 years now… my wife has been for ~10 years. Quality of food is excellent and I have never been disappointed. We always used to go to their Lafayette Hill location but I am so happy that they opened one in Chestnut Hill.
Highly recommend their Butter Chicken and Biriyani!
A welcome addition to Chestnut Hill! We would go back and encourage you to give Nirvana a try.
We dined in, the atmosphere was a bit more formal and quiet than expected. I recommend you call ahead for reservations as the dining room capacity is limited- though we were lucky enough to get a table without one. Bring cash if you wish to avoid a small credit card service fee.
Onto the food! Everything was good, but maybe not the best if being critical. We ordered vegetable samosas, garlic naan, baigan bharta and alu saag. The samosas came out lukewarm and could have used better spice. The alu saag only had a few small pieces of potatoes and could have used more. The naan was good, you won’t be disappointed. They were accommodating with BYOB as well.
Overall I would give the edge in flavor, service and value to New Era in Chestnut Hill. However I will come back to compare again and have no issues support them both!
