Ocho Rios Parrilla

My friend and I were looking for a place to go to eat this past Saturday. We happened upon a new restaurant on Passyunk Avenue in Philadelphia called Ocho Rios Parrilla. Knowing that Ocho Rios is a well known place in Jamaica we decided to try it. After speaking to our waiter we learned that the place had just opened on Friday. Since the both of us(my female friend and I)are familiar with Jamaican cuisine we had no problem knowing what we wanted to try. We ordered a few appetizers first. The Jerk wings, Salt Fish Fritters and coconut shrimp. And for our entrees I had the Oxtail Stew and she had the Curry Shrimp. I must tell you the food here was remarkable. The Jerk wings had the right amount of heat and welled seasoned. The salt fritters and coconut shrimp were equally good. But the stars of the show was both the Oxtails and the curry shrimp. Truthfully the food was so good we planned to revisit the place next week. I think you will enjoy this place. The staff were knowledgeable and really friendly. I cannot stress enough how much we enjoyed this place.
