Man, I love their pizza. The crust, the flavors it's delicious. As well. The price to satisfaction rating is amazing. One slice is enough for lunch. Try the balboa and the chocolate churros. Amazing stuff.
It seems to be family run and everyone I've interacted with have been super nice. They fit the neighborhood amazingly.
Very good, well worth a visit. Square pizza, somewhere between Sicilian and Detroit, which makes it very different to the other places in the area. Usual toppings plus some interesting flavors that work really well on a heavy slice. Slices are big, I barely made it through 2.
I had a great experience at Peace A Pie! I tried the beer battered PB&J and a slice of pooky pie! Out of this world! This place was very busy, but for one chef running the kitchen solo, he is killing it! Definitely recommend this place to anyone! Can't wait to return and try more!!!
I’m giving it four stars for the wait and somewhat negative staff experience. The food is really good portions for the price. The pizza itself is close to five stars but the beer battered PB&J was a two for me.
Stopped by Peace A Pie around 6:30pm on opening day. There were two people in line and a huddle of people waiting for their orders. I ordered a slice and a fried PB&J to go. It’s not a sit down restaurant, but they do have a couple picnic tables on the sidewalk. At the time it was cash only because their accounts weren’t setup in time for opening.
I was second in line when they announced they only have slices of mushroom pizza but otherwise they were out of dough and cheese. I managed to order a slice after waiting ten minutes at the counter because they were busy in the kitchen. It felt like I was watching an episode of Bar Rescue with all the craziness. And it’s hard to get anyone’s attention without them making you feel like an inconvenience.
I made the mistake of ordering the PB&J because I had to wait another 20 minutes for that order. During that time I saw at least two people who ordered in advance and their order was given away. The owner tried to accommodate but I saw a lot of attitude from both sides to finally get to a resolution. Not my experience but validated the vibe I got when ordering.
I live a 5 minute walk away and finally made it home to try the pizza and PB&J which was good but not amazing. PB&J was cold and soggy, which I’m not sure how since I waited so long to finally get it. The sauce on my slice of mushroom pizza was banging. The crust was great. The toppings were fresh. The middle part of the pizza was kind of doughy.
Regardless of how busy you are, first impressions matter. I will likely come back because the first day is always busy and lots of learning for the staff on how best to operate. About $5 for a quick and big slice isn’t bad either! I hope others had a better experience than I did. I wish this small business the best.
