Went in Monday for lunch and it was quite busy. New decorations and various choices of menu’s options. I had special pho & my husband had special broken rice. Mine was ok , not to flavorful for the broth, noodles are a bit overcook, it could have done better. Husband like the his dish. The don’t have chili on the table so if you’re a spicy eater you might have to ask for that. Parking is really limited as is lovely inside a busy shopping plaza. The reason i have this 3 stars bc they use paper type of napkins, and if you have sensitive skin it will scratched your face. Drinks and desserts menu looks good!
Noodles were a bit overcooked. They were unsure if the vegetarian soup used onions and the vegetarian dish we ordered never came out
Positives were fast, friendly service and big portions. They also have Vietnamese crepe (a savory dish I'll try next)! Also, nice dessert selection.
Reviews seem mixed here so i wanted to try it out.
I got the short rib pho and the meat portion is is huge. The short ribs comes with a complimentary side of cartilage. The meat was a bit on the tough side but the cartilage was pretty good. Peels right off the bone. The pho itself has a nice bite to it but the broth itself doesn’t have a deep a flavor. It’s just an okay bowl of pho.
The grilled pork chop is what you expect. The meat was tender and flavorful, just wanted the meat to have some smokiness to it.
The viet ice coffee with milk was great.
It was fun to try but definitely on the expensive side. The quality isn’t bad but you would expect better for the price. Personally, I rather go to a cheaper place with the standard cuts of meat but I wouldn’t be opposed if a friend suggested to go here.
Great place for pho in south Philly by Passyunk. I strongly recommend this place. Server is very frowned and explained every question my friend has who was trying pho for first time. Surprisingly it was not crowded but food was amazing. For vegetarians, this place has enough veggie options compare to other pho places in that area. This place is in NJ as well and i used to go to that one a lot.
Best VIETNAMESE restaurant ever opened in Philly. I was definitely very overwhelmed by their big menu. MUST try if you haven’t yet. I will be coming here regularly.
