The service was great. The employee that was handling the payment and getting the orders was friendly and very helpful. I arrived early by accident and they got my order together for me with no problem. The sauce on the pizza could have used a bit more flavor (whether in the form of more salt or a bit more heat) however when combined with the cheese and crust it was great. The addition of the Mikes Hot Honey just elevated the overall experience. Opening during a pandemic and being so centered on taste, experience and customer service brings Pizza Jawn out as a stand out, fantastic shop.
Great to see the Pizza Jawn crew with a brick and mortar spot. After trying their pop ups multiple times, I was glad check out their new adventure. Beautiful space, perfect location, and most importantly, delicious pizza. Their grandma pie is next level, and the Detroit is just behind it. Get on their IG soon and get a slot, because they fill quickly!
We loved our first taste of Pizza Jawn so much we ordered twice in one week and set our alarms for the following week’s orders as well! The Grandma was hands down our favorite with the perfect level of crispy throughout the crust, but especially around the edges. Beyond the taste of the pizza, the owner was incredibly friendly and he greeted all the customers with enthusiasm while simultaneously baking the pies. We’re already looking forward to this Friday when we get our next bites of Pizza Jawn!
Pizza Jawn knows a LOT about pizza and has focused his knowledge and talent as a chef to bring Philadelphia a very special authentic pizza experience.
I have tried the Detroit, Grandma and NYC hybrid pizzas several times. Each unique style is created with the proper dough and toppings and is cooked to perfection. The doughs are delicious and the ingredients are all top notch making these pizzas winners no matter the style you prefer.
A lot of research and long hours of focused hard work has clearly been spent perfecting these pizzas. The results are fantastic.
If you love pizza and appreciate great pizza, check out Pizza Jawn.
Really, really, good pizza. Definitely a very welcome addition to the brick and mortar pizza scene in Philly.
The crust on the round pie is Neapolitan that leans kinda toward NY. It’s light and crunchy and chewy. Solid cheese/sauce ratio.
You gotta work to get your hands on it, but it’s worth it.
