I love coming here for lunch. I always get the power or nutella acai bowl but I noticed they started blending the base. I guess to water it down? It's not a pleasant experience when eating. I might as well get a smoothie. I think this is a new practice as the person who was making my bowl asked her coworker "she said that we're blending this now, right?" as she was scooping out the acai base.
not sure if its just this location or companywide but I don't appreciate paying the same amount for less...
Overall a quick and cool spot to grab a juice or healthy snack. The two employees there today, (Saturday 10/28/23) managed to give great customer service while simultaneously seeming very busy. Amazingly kind faces and demeanor for folks busting out food orders and doing prep.
Great product and experience generally - but especially today. Thanks so much for the delicious juice!
This was my first Playa Bowl experience. I stopped by for a juice and this place was busy which is always a good sign. There were only 3 employees working.
We ordered a Green room juice and green smoothie with some customisations. The employee working on the register had hard time with the tablet (probably couldn’t find the key to add chia seeds) which is not a big deal.
As we were waiting for 10minutes in, one of the employees who was done with her shift looked angry. Looked like she was having a bad day and started screaming and talking loud for some reason.
The green room juice was good but the green smoothie wasn’t the best (I have had some great tasting green smoothies)
Overall the location and atmosphere were great. Wish the service was faster and next time they give our juice and smoothie faster. Management should hire more employees.
Ps- The people working there were sweet.
Don't get me wrong, the staff here are so sweet and kind! However, this morning I tried to go in but the front door was still locked even at 9:07am; I had to call to ask them to open the door. Then I got my bowl and free coffee (I'm a playa rewards member). My bowl must've been left over from the night before because the acai was frozen and was full of ice chips. But what really let me down was the free iced coffee. I was looking forward to it all morning. I attached a pic. The milk/ cream was curdled... it tasted horrendous, I could't drink it. I wouldn't usually write a review- but if I'm paying $15+ for a bowl full of ice chips and an expired coffee, I expect so much more. Again, the staff is nice and sweet, but the products coming out of here are not worth the price at all.
I've came here for the Tropical Acai Bowl. The Acai fruit taste is definitely an acquired taste. That's the one thing from the Bowl, I've enjoyed the least. The Aloha Smoothie with Banana, Pineapple, Mango & Coconut Milk was decent.
