This is absolutely one of the coolest restaurants in the area. Anytime I visit this place I am incredibly glad.
We dined outside at Pumpkin this past weekend. Their roadside dining setup was actually quite cute, and the service was great despite the freezing rain making the sidewalks difficult to navigate. The food overall was rather good. I was pretty bummed about my duck entree though. It was delicious, but the amount of duck I received was about the size of a pork rib, small even for an appetizer. The accompanying andouille sausage was good too, but it was half of a sausage. I don't know what the goat cheese cake was supposed to be, but we were both expecting cheesecake ,and instead it was cake with goat cheese on it. In the end it was a good experience, but if you're charging $100 per plate I would hope for enough food that you don't need a snack when you get home.
The food was incredible. Not usually a dessert person, but the sticky toffee pudding was unreal. Their outdoor setup was really nice so well and felt very safe. It was pretty cold, so they even brought us another heater, which was much appreciated!
Fantastic dining venue - highly recommend! Pumpkin provides a unique dining experience for residents in the Grad Hospital area and goes above and beyond to make your experience top notch. We absolutely love what the restaurant did to provide outdoor seating during the pandemic, heaters for winter dining outdoors, and measures to protect customers and employees. Extremely professional and courteous staff. The menu is superb and continually impresses us. This is certainly a venue I bring family and friends to when exploring the city for the first time. Thank you Pumpkin - don't change a thing with how you run this establishment!
