I come to Tela's regularly for my morning coffee. They make great lattes (highly recommend an oat latte with toasted marshmallow), have excellent food, and the staff always provides incredible service. Their pre-made food section is awesome when I'm running late and need to grab something for lunch. The environment is the perfect balance of chill and upbeat. If I worked remotely, I would definitely spend my mornings there to enjoy my latte and sift through emails.
A place with a very chilled and romantic ambience. The staff were super friendly and the coffee and apple cake I had were very good. Highly recommended after a visit to the nearby Eastern State Penitentiary.
This is just a preliminary review as I plan on stopping here multiple times to write a comprehensive review. I've been wanting to stop in here since we moved to Philadelphia four months ago.
I went here for one of their made fresh everything bagels. I walked in and up to the counter. There were not any menus posted around to look at, but they did have paper copies on the counter. I ordered my bagel and grabbed a seat, taking in the lovely feel of the restaurant. My bagel arrived after a short wait and I dug in. The bagel was chewy and flavorful, while the cream cheese did exactly what it does best.
They have a great selection of take home dinners, wine, beer and charcuterie needs. I am excited to try some of these as well as their dinner offerings in the future.
