I’m here to correct all negative reviews… can we all agree on one thing; an establishment is only as good as its workers are. For all the negative nellys I’m sure they went on a day with poor staffing. I can vouch that Saturday BRUNCH has the best vibe that I have experienced in quite some time.
The service was EXCELLENT. Granted it wasn’t packed (just the way I like it) they were very welcoming, offering free coat check ins so we were as comfortable as possible. I sat at the bar and was serviced by India and her welcoming African co worker (cannot remember her name). Mimosas were top tier! Ratio of 90-10 if you know what I mean. The cooks also took a moment to come from the kitchen to ask us how the food tastes, knowing there were no flaws in sight. The Dj was lit on the ones and twos playing music for the crowd, which just so happened to be more “cultured” than some of the other reviews state. Needless to say… my husband and I will be back! The entire staff from Saturday, 2/24/24 seems like a family we would love to get to know. They’re absolutely worth the 30-40 minute drive it took us.
Nice and spacious, great brunch food, not too expensive. We went for an event but the mimosa package was $65 we were able to drink like 10 mimosas. The chicken and waffles were so yummy, flavorful and no need for any hot sauce. The music was really good and it was not warm, so we were able to dance and enjoy ourselves sweat free. Great vibes good for any occasion.
Came to The Winston for brunch with friends. They normally have a DJ on the weekends providing the vibes but he was not present when we went Sunday. The ambiance & vibes were still on point. The Winston was able to make up for that by playing a great music playlist from their phone. Whoever’s playlist they were playing was pretty good and a few of my friends mentioned they wish there was a dance floor. We settled to some chair dancing instead. Our waitress was attentive and took care of us. We all came with our appetites and ordered a wide variety of items. I took advantage of their $5 mimosas. A few girlfriends tried the brunch shots and they said they were good. For brunch, I had their Chicken and waffles. The Chicken and Waffle was served with a nicely seasoned chicken breast and the waffles were thick and fluffy in texture. My only gripe about my dish is that I wish my chicken was a bit bigger. I also sampled the avocado toast and the home fries from what my girlfriends ordered and they were both delicious. Overall we had a great time and there were no complaints about the food. I’d definitely come back! Great vibes, great food and reasonable prices 🙌🏾
Awesome for watching sports! Was a quieter night for Philly sports, so the bartenders were able to accept our request to change one of the TVs to the nationally televised basketball game! Food was great as well! Alex the bartender was the best!
Didn't want to stay in to watch Thursday Night football one day, so he suggested we check this place out - neither of us had been there before.
It was a rainy night, so it wasn't as crowded there and we were able to find seats at the bar the moment we walked in. The bartender was really cool, great energy and helpful in his suggestions for food. He also made some great drinks! (I appreciate a good/heavier pour). The food was pretty good too. We ordered the wings, chicken quesadillas and some fries. All came out hot, fresh and tasted really good. The vibe, atmosphere and decor there was cool too - gave me a modern pub style vibe feeling more upscalish but having the feel and demeanor of your neighborhood bar.
We liked it. Would recommend checking them out & we want to go back for another game day (maybe Sunday day/night games).
