I don't know if it changed owners but I was not too impress of the flavor today. Usually I drive from North to get my food but I was a little disappointed
Too expensive for what it is. Also not a Honduras but a Mexican restaurant.
The food was excellent. The couple running the restaurant were hospitable and warm. They also offered a dessert. Cash only. Highly recommend!!!
I live nearby and often order from Boom for lunch. The lunch service is usually quick, and you don't have to wait in long lines. You often will see the owner and another chef in the kitchen taking your orders. Please be patient as their English can be hard to understand. However, they will try their best to ensure that your order is correct.
With that said, how were their foods? Now, I have not tried everything on the menu. So far, I thought that the foods were excellent. Here are what I have ordered so far:
Grilled steak taco: 4/5. It was excellent. The meat was well seasoned, and a hint of char added bitter and smoke flavors to the dish. You get the traditional onion, cilantro, and lime condiments with grilled green chili pepper. You also get a red and green sauce for tacos. The red sauce is fantastic, and the green sauce gives additional acidity to break up the fattiness.
Al Pastor taco: 4/5. Similar to the grilled steak tacos in flavor profile, it was excellent. I prefer to use green sauce on this as it helps break up the fattiness of the dish and compliments the flavors. If the taco tortilla were hand-made and seasoned well, it would elevate all taco dishes to another level. All prerequisite flavors are there and need a push to differentiate themselves.
Chicken burrito: 4/5. Excellent. The flavors of the chicken, rice, beans, pico de gallo, and sour cream complement each other. I made the mistake of leaving this out for too long before eating it, so the rice was a little soggy, but the flavors were still there.
Price: It's a little high but comparable to other restaurants in the area.
Although this is my opinion, I hope you give this little place a try for yourself.
Food was amazing- great quality and taste, served hot, nice portions, kind and attentive staff. They accommodated us as a large party very easily. Would definitely return.
