I had a cousin come into town and she asked me to go back here. Prices are appropriate for the quality. Similar to a place in Denver I liked.

Life changing cheesesteak, the truffle wiz is next level?

I absolutely adore Woodrow’s. Some of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had in life. I always take out of town friends here for cheesesteaks. Woodrow’s is my absolute favorite cheesesteak in Philly, no one even comes close (truffle whiz is everything, but also shouts out to soft bread and tender juicy steak).

However, I decided to branch out and try The Italian today. 10/10 would recommend - it’s a delicious Italian sub. The sharp flavors mend so well together. The sandwich makers at Woodrow’s clearly know exactly what they’re doing, piecing together profound flavor combinations. I trust them. You can’t go wrong with any menu item. Seriously.

That said, it would be so difficult for me to order The amazing Italian again simply because the cheesesteak is that. damn. good.

Was able to order online, had to wait on the sidewalk (not letting anyone inside the premises) for about 15 minutes and my food was ready. Cheese steak with the truffle whiz is really next level. Subtle truffle to it. Meat stands out, juicy and pretty finely chopped. Bread is fresh and has a nice fluff and snap to it. The roast pork was a little too salty, and the aged provolone, very garlicky aioli, and spice of the raab really made this sandwich explode with flavor. A little overwhelming but still tasty and unique.

Road tripped to Philly for the day and tried a few popular spots - by far, this was the most delicious cheesesteak I had. It’s a truffle cheese if I’m not mistaken, and a perfect balance with the steak and chopped onions. Service was also super fast. Highly recommend!
