We ordered the fish sandwiches. I got sweet ptotao fries, and hubby got regular french fries. I would have given 5 stars based just on the fries but the sandwich was nothing outstanding. Waitress was wonderful. She was very busy but still had time to take great care of her customers. They do a pretty awesome thing there. They call it hanging meals. You buy a meal or a drink when you are checking out, and they put it on a board for someone who needs a meal or drink that can't afford it.

It was the first time I'd been there. I'd heard bad reviews in the past. Wanted to try it for myself. It didn't disappoint! Friendly atmosphere, quick friendly service and the food......Phenomenal....Nuff Said!

I ate here several times. Very middle of the road place. Overall impression is disappointing. Service is inconsistent, sometimes it was good, others not so good. This includes when it was dead. The overall vibe I think is missing some pieces as it feels a bit all over the place to me. The food needed more combos (especially breakfast) I had to order like 2 additional a la carts to get what I wanted. Everything was a good temp, my main thing about the food was that it was bland. It needed seasoning. The French toast for example felt like eating bread with egg on it. It lacked cinnamon but of vanilla extract and some sugar to it. Was just boring. The burger I got, was severely under seasoned as well. All in all, it got the job done in filling me up. Only problem, with prices the way they are, you expect food purchased to be worth that cost. Here, sometimes it feels that way, unfortunately it is not more often. So, if you’re looking for ok food, this is the place, but don’t expect it to dazzle you.

The Eastside Diner has a great staff with excellent service. They were attentive, friendly, and ensured our food arrived quickly. Speaking of speed, the swift service was a pleasant surprise, making Eastside a great spot for a quick meal.
However, the food itself was a mixed bag. While it was alright overall, there's definitely room for improvement, particularly with the 'East mess dish.' This dish was overwhelmingly potato-heavy, which overshadowed the other ingredients. A more balanced mix would enhance the meal significantly.
Price-wise, the diner is reasonable. The dish sizes are on the smaller side, which aligns with the pricing. It's a fair value for what you receive.
The ambiance inside the diner adds to the experience. It has a great vibe that complements the dining experience.

This place is easily our new breakfast spot for Saturdays. Staff were very welcoming and food was quick and amazing! Sausage gravy was absolutely to die for and I could eat the raspberry custard everyday! The place is set up so cute.. like an old diner! Hoping they continue to look for other tables that match their one side to go with the older diner look! Definitely a little gem in Mifflinburg that everyone must try!
