Vesta 88 River House & The Barge Patio Bar

We went here on a Friday night. We first sat at the bar inside. It was very nice and clean. The menu seemed decent, lots of seafood. The bartender was a little young and awkward, but very nice and gave great service. I do wish we had eaten inside. After a few rounds we went outside. Very nice spot, great view of the river. The food was a little sketch, the ribs and sauce were good, but were clearly microwaved and served on a sectioned styrofoam plate. The bartender was super accommodating, the entertainment was decent (kid with a guitar singing random songs), crowd seemed friendly if a little weird. Toward the end of the night, we were positively swarmed by a bunch of creepy river bugs... So maybe don't sit outside after dark 🤣 we will definitely go back.

Nice place with a great view along the river. Food was average bar food. Outside bar is nice. Servers were very friendly and prompt. They have a nice stage outside with live music on the weekends.

Vesta 88 has great potential with a fun atmosphere on the Barge! We visited at 12:15 (they opened at noon). We did not get waited on for approximately 40 minutes only after I went to request iced teas at the bar. We were waited on after, once again, I went to the bar to request assistance. It was our first time there. There was one cook who was doing an awesome job taking care of everything by himself.The wait staff was a huge disappointment but I think nowadays, everyone has learned to be somewhat patient. Two hours for a hamburger and the daily special was a bit much but, as I said, I think this place has great potential so we will try it again. I did see other customers leaving and I hope they’ll try it again, too.

Very nice restaurant! Our party of 4 all got steaks, 3 specials of filet and 1 prime rib. Everything was delicious! Our server, Shelby, and the chef were so helpful and accommodating for my dairy intolerance. Highly recommend and will be returning!
