Bistecca Steakhouse & Wine Bar

Excellent food and great service. Would recommend to anyone.

Upon arrival, the place is beautiful! Staff was absolutely amazing, we had Katie and Katie. They were so polite, prompt, and attentive. There were two reasons why I’m giving a 3 star over a 5 star.

1. My wife found a bug in her drink. Not just a little bug that may have found its way into the glass, but a good solid size bug. We brought it up to one of the Katie’s, and the way she responded/reacted seemed like it wasn’t the first time this had happened. Just so nonchalant about it. Didn’t offer to take the one drink off the bill, no offer for a free desert, nothing. Now, to be clear, I don’t want anything for free. That’s not what I wanted... an attempt to make it up to us would’ve been sufficient.

2. There were gnats flying around us the entire visit.

Now onto the meal itself, My steak was undercooked. I know, first world problems. It wasn’t terribly bad. I got medium well, it was medium rare at best. The waitress did have us cut into the steak and I didn’t notice it initially, but pretty undercooked. Even as undercooked as it was, it was still pretty amazing. It was even better than a $200 Kobe steak my wife and I had recently. My wife’s steak was perfect. We also got the fried mozzarella which was amazing and the rolls they brought were the best rolls I’ve ever had. For desert, my wife got the salted caramel cheesecake which was good.

Overall, good experience besides the bugs.

The staff was amazing and helped get every thing ready for our surprise birthday dinner. The food and drinks were exceptional and were made to perfection. Definitely worth the dining experience.

Excellent service, great steak! I'm accustomed to the steakhouses in the city and by comparison I would put the steak and service at Bistecca at the top with the best of them. Filet medium Oscar was one of the best I've had and our server was friendly, polite and very attentive. Mashed and Baked potato sides were perfectly done as were the cocktails. Highly recommend!
