Shorty's Lunch

Very basic place. On the menu your choices are hamburger, hot dog and fries. Maybe a fish sandwich, I don't remember.

The condiments are mustard, onions, ketchup, relish, chili and tartar. That's it. No mayo, no cheese. Etc

Good service, food is good.

I started this yesterday and then my phone froze. So here I go again. Love, love, love Shorty's Lunch!! We here in Washington PA call it Shorty's! It is uptown on Chestnut Street. I have been eating at Shorty's my whole life for about 65 years! My mom used to take me there when I was a little girl. It has wonderful ambience. Just an old fashioned restaurant with booths with high backs. The most popular food of the day with most people is a hotdog with everything which includes chili sauce, diced onions and mustard. Also fries with brown gravy! We should have taken a picture yesterday but we forgot to and it was my husband and my sister and me. If you're ever in Washington PA you must give it a try. Very fast, good food, great service. The original Shorty's Lunch hot dog shop still thriving in downtown Washington, PA. The food is a great deal, tasty, and comes out incredibly fast. You have to try the fries with gravy and a hot dog. None of the food comes with cheese, but at a place as good as this, that is fine. Stop in. It will be a quick visit, and you won't regret it.
