Attended the Celtic festival. They are out growing their venue. Good local entertainment and good stew and sheps pie
I usually go here because my dad volunteeres and it is very fun. I ordered some icecream and fish and chips very good. I love the Dill's Tavern I will be volunteering too at the next "opening" or festival:)
Historic gem of northern york county. Had a great time and learned a lot.
This is the second annual Dills Celtic Festival. It was a gorgeous day to enjoy watching craftsmen and craftswomen creating their wares and listening to the stories of celtic life hundreds of years ago. There were Irish and Scottish dance exhibitions throughout the day that included voluntary audience participation, and always fun. There were also strolling musicians and Celtic bands.
Then there were the historic buildings to explore and re-enactors sharing the history of tools, clothing, weaponry and life of centuries ago.
The food vendors were among the best I have ever seen. Plenty of seating.
I would recommend putting this event on your calendar for next year.
Great living history museum. The people that volunteer here are really great. This place is one of a kind, it would be hard to find another place like this outside of Williamsburg
