John's Diner

What a great diner! The salad bar is fully stocked and fresh. Generous portions and delicious sweet treats! We were in town for a wedding and ate here twice. I’d love to go back- try the pretzel bun sandwiches!!

Great food at a reasonable price. The salad bar was good. Service was good as well. Would stop again

I've been to John's Diner for times since moving to Central PA. Each time has been a delight in it's own way. The staff is always pleasant, the atmosphere is a little dated but inviting. The food has generally been good (with the exception of the brown gravy), decent portions and a soup and salad bar that you don't see at many places. It isn't a fancy place by any means, but if your looking for a filling meal at a decent price, you can't do much better in the area.

Food is good, prices are average. The issue I and others have is the music is played to load in the overnight and early morning settings. Spoke to owner and explained at 4-5 am most people are just getting up and really aren't ready for a 50 and 60s concert. Owner offers to turn music back overnight. Hope he does.????????

For a little diner, I was pleasantly surprised! The senior portion of tilapia was not small but more than enough for this senior! (And the 2 seniors I was with.) Loved the fresh fruit on the salad bar and salad bar had a lot for being so small! Fresh lettuce, too!..not rusty or brown. Not a luxurious location to eat or luxurious food, but nothing to complain about, either! I'd return!
