Had the lassi, korma and butter chicken for the first time. Could be spicier, wish they offered a spice level option, but the flavor is soooo on point. Definitely a yumdidly. Try it you won't be upset. It's hot inside but it wasn't unbearable. BYOB.

I read the reviews prior to coming to Chef Lama. They definitely paid attention to the reviews because they had nice, light music playing in the background. My husband and I split the samosa. He got the palak paneer. I got the chicken thali. Everything was SO good, plain and simple. The food that was meant to be cold, was cold. The food that was meant to be hot, was hot. The staff were very friendly; our waitress described each dish in my thali when she presented it to me. Definitely the new, best Indian restaurant in town. Can’t wait to come back and bring friends.

All I can say is we are so happy to live so close to this restaurant. Its been a few years since we were able to get great Indian food.

This was the first time we ate here. We started with the Shrimp Tikka appetizer, which was absolutely delicious. For our main entrees we had Malai Kofta, which is a potato and cheese dumpling in a cashew sauce and Navaratan Korma, which is mixed veggies in a Korma sauce. Both came with basmati rice and we ordered both Roti and butter Naan. It was all so awesome. I will say the spiciness was mild and we didn't ask to make it spicier. Since it was our first time visiting, we wanted to see how it comes to us. To finish off the meal, we each had a cup of Chai. It was a great finish to any absolutely fantastic meal.

The service was spot on. Throughout the meal, I think just about every one of the wait staff tended to us. I saw some reviews about slow service, but I think that might just have been individuals who are not used to eating at a restaurant where they make nearly everything at the time you order it. So of course its going to take a bit for the food to come out. My recommendation, talk to your friends and family that are with you and have a great time. And if you need something, don't be afraid to just motion to one of the servers. They are all so nice and attentive.

I do have one recommendation, on the Nepali Kitchen section of the menu. Please add descriptions. It would make ordering easier and we wouldn't have to ask the waiter to explain in detail what the dish is.

The last thing that I have to say is don't forget to BYOB. We didn't know that it was a BYOB, though in hindsight we probably should have known or called to ask. In any case, we will definitely return very soon for another meal.

Went for dinner. We were a table of four and we all got something different. Each meal was so flavorful and had different tastes. I had the Goat Biryani, which was delicious. The butter chicken was also just as good. The staff was wonderful as well!

I can’t wait to return. Oh and it’s byob.

This is my second time enjoying the food from here, and my first visiting the restaurant proper. The service was outstanding and our server was incredibly friendly. The food was phenomenal. I had a spicy lamb vindaloo and it tasted so good and the spice level was perfect. Finished up with a mango lassi to square it out and smooth out the spice.

I will agree with some reviews that the decor could be a bit more present, and some soft traditional music would not hinder the experience. That being said, good for and conversation with friends and loved ones trumps all gripes that I could have.
