Good food, had the Rachel sandwich, a grilled turkey concoction that was good. They have a gift shop with some interesting things there - lots of reasonably priced air plants. Lovely old brick building w great parking.

Amazing view from the restaurant. A little searching to find the entrance but no big deal. Plenty of off-street parking. Excellent handicap parking and access. Very easy to see from the road. Great selection of steak and seafood, personally enjoyed the filet that was cooked to perfection. Found the cocktails to be very well made. Service was a little rushed but accurate. Prices were in line with the quality of the food. Not cheap but not overly expensive. The interior decor was rustic and authentic to the location, creating a nice modern yet relaxing mood.

First class experience from the moment we walked in.
Great decor, hostess, waitress and menu. Scenery is nice overlooking the river

Ordered the Brisket Chili and 1/2 Nantucket salad combo, my Daughter a Classic Cesar, ended up splitting a peanut butter truffle ball for desert.

Everything was amazing, the chili had a nice flavorful kick, not just heat; and the salads were perfect.

If you're crossing the Susquehanna on rt30 the John Wright is worth a slight detour, we'll definitely be back!

John Wright was a very good restaurant. One of the best I’ve been to in years. The selection was simple but had many options that all sounded very good. I opted to go with the Chicken Romano. It came with Airline Chicken, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, and a local vegetable, which was Green Beans at the time. The whole meal was very delicious. For dessert, many mouth watering options were presented- the waitress came out and showed us samples of them all. I went with a chocolate peanut butter cake (I don’t remember the name), and it was one of the best desserts I’ve had. I would say it’s definitely worth the price, and the views are priceless. There’s a kids menu too. Such a great restaurant for an amazing sit down meal.

Went to JWR for an early Easter Brunch with my wife, stepdaughter, and granddaughter today. Arrived at noon, perfect time as it was uncrowded and there were no lines at the two serving area. Made to order omelets but I thought the egg mixture was very runny. I decided to have a 2, instead of 3, egg omelet. It was plenty big but I could barely taste any egg flavor. There was a carving station with ham and one other meat. The other area has home fries, sausage gravy and biscuits, bacon, sausage, Eggs Benedict, a vegetable souffle, corned beef and cabbage. There are ample selections for the most discriminating breakfast lover. Nice, but small selection of desserts. Pineapple orange cheesecake, some kind of raspberry mousse, an apple infused pound cake, chocolate cake drizzled with chocolate sauce, and some kind of cookies.

The restaurant became quite crowded at 1:15 and there were lines at both the omelet station and the other hot breakfast selections. Four of us with three Mimosa's eat for $102. Nice view of the river and the servers are very attentive.
