Went there for my birthday. Great service, the owner was very nice and the food was delicious.
Love the classic sushi choices and the creative use of flavors in a rather extensive menu! Great place for world travelers, vegetarian and folks new to sushi.
Really good selection of food for seafood lovers. They even thought of us the non-seafood lovers too by including some chicken based dishes, and they were good!
I love to eat sushi and being a vegetarian, I do not have many options. However, this restaurant had good options and I was excited. The food was really tasty. The ambience is good and the service is quick as well. Highly recommend this place to everyone. You will not be disappointed.
My significant other and I went here for a date night last night. I was surprised to see a sushi place in York I hadn't already heard of or been to, tucked away neatly in the little shopping center I know typically for the Corner Stable restaurant. It's a cozy, unassuming restaurant with a very clean, modern look to it. The service was fantastic- I don't think we ever really had to ask for beverage refills (they were ON it!).
My significant other ordered the Rainbow roll and a California roll, and I ordered the spicy seafood udon, and the first thing we had noticed was that the prices were a bit higher than we were used to. Then the food arrived, and we realized that this was exactly where that money went to.
The seafood is fresh (some items marked as market price), and exceedingly high quality. I have never had mussels that size (and no sand/grit!), shrimp that well-prepared (impeccably butterflied, no tail), or sushi of that magnitude. Even the California roll (the most basic of basics) was flavorful beyond anything I've had in a very long time.
The average meal appears to be about $20, but honestly, it's very worth it. Don't be afraid to upgrade- the king-size roll is equal to at least 2 regular-sized rolls elsewhere, portion-wise.
The dessert menu looked tempting; regrettably, I was far too full and had to get a to-go box, and my significant other was of a similar mind. We will definitely be going back and next time, we'll have to share so we can save room for dessert!
