we got try a new place in Warwick last night Captains Resto-Bar. it is in the building where Coras County Cork Irish Pub used to be. we all loved our meals. i had a pastrami rueben (even tho i thought i had ordered a straight pastrami) very tasty with a Generous portion of excellent pastrami. everyone else made note of the generous potions in their sandwiches. i also had the fried pickles maybe more batter on them than i would have liked but a nice spicy dipping sauce. there are no draft lines hear so the accent is on mixed drinks and wine ( so not a place for me as i am a beer snob that drinks local draft beer). the service here is not great. we got seated and then waited a half an hour to order, and when i tried to order my meal with my drinks i was told i would have to wait until our drinks were served. it all appeared to be very chaotic to us but maybe this the was people now expect when they go out for a meal. the main attraction (atmosphere) here is the outside dinning by the cove. with the weather about to switch to fall/winter i am not sure how that is going to work for them ( only limited seating inside tables for 2). lastly one the food items that we had loved at Coras was the fried green beans which were on the menu and just as delicious as before . maybe we will try again in the spring....if they are still open.

My family threw a 50th Birthday party at Captains on October 14th and everything was absolutely amazing! From the very beginning, they were super laid back and easy to work with. I had direct contact with Eva (who is the event coordinator) and throughout the whole process, she was easy to reach and accommodating.
The location can’t get any better as it’s right on the water.
Food is top notch, I’d describe it as “upscale” pub food. Everything seems to be made from scratch. The calamari was to die for (not your generic frozen calamari from restaurant depot), same with chicken tenders (I think they make their own). The brisket egg rolls were my personal favorite, and we requested sliders for the party & just like everything else, they were amazing (even reheated the next day!).
They have a huge selection of drinks, including flaming martinis (my favorite), and they make their own Tito’s seltzers with muddled fruit.
    I would highly recommend this bar/restaurant: whether it’s for just a drink, lunch/dinner, or to throw a party….I give them a 10/10.

Right on the water. Great views of the bay. The staff is super friendly and fun. Food is good, and cocktails are amazing. They are constantly coming up with seasonal ideas.

Met the owners a few months ago and was determined to go check it out. I planned a 15-17 person gathering. The event coordinator was amazing and followed up with me a few days before. We sat outside which I believe would be the best and maybe only option for a very large party. The staff was absolutely fantastic. Very attentive and proud to serve us. The food was all amazing. Brisket Eggs Rolls, Blooming Onion, and Brisket Nachos were something to write home about. My burger was also very enjoyable. Every one of the people in our group, 15 of us had something great to say about the food and service. We will 100% become regulars here.

The only "con" I can say is that the inside looks super small. Most of the attraction I would say is the super nice outside bar and eating area.

This is certainly a little gem in RI.

If there is one thing I love doing during the Summer in Rhode Island, it's finding a good place to eat that has outdoor seating, and it's a huge plus if it's on the water. Captains Resto-Bar is a newer place, it used to be the County Cork. They've updated the decor, added an outdoor bar, umbrellas to the tables, and updated the menu. I opted for the fish & chips, the husband opted for a steak & cheese sandwich. Service was excellent, our waitress was attentive, informative, and personable, and the food was delicious. The portion size of fish for their fish & chips, wasn't huge, but satisfying. I wouldn't say I got the most bang for your buck here, but what I did get was quality, and what I really wanted was to be able to enjoy a lunch outdoors, which is exactly what I got. I was a little sad that blackened fish tacos weren't part of their everyday menu. (it's a "Taco Tuesday" thing I guess.) I guess I will just need to come back on a Tuesday. There is a decent amount of parking available. Food prices were about the norm, as were the alcohol prices. A late lunch with drinks for 3 people ran us about $110, which in Rhode Island is about average.
