Rocky Point Clam Shack

This place is in the parking lot of an old department store pretty far from the shore (or at least as far as anything can be in Warwick), so I ought to give it a lower score. But they get bonus points for both getting the recipes right and for infill development.

I came in from NY for my elderly mother’s birthday. I usually stay near Narragansett, but it being July 4 week, I ended up having to stay in Warwick. By the time I got settled it was too late to drive down to Narragansett to get my seafood fix and I remembered this place from years ago. I had a whole belly clam roll that was actually pretty good. But for $23, I think they could be a whole lot more generous with the clams. That’s really my only complaint. More clams please.

Worth the drive. I absolutely love making the trip down. Alone, with the family, friends... the chowda is always right on point and the clam cakes to pair with it.
I think I might get in the car and head down tomorrow!

Love the memories. Clear and white taste good. Red seemed much more tomatoey this year. Clam cakes were perfect! Not sure why they don't allow dogs, since seating is outside. Hope it's not because someone didn't pick up after their dog!
