Amazing chef, friendly server, food very good. When it’s busy, food can take a while. Interesting ambiance and I would go again because I really liked the menu!

So, in short, the food is absolutely delicious, but everything else is an absolute disappointment. In long, I'm conflicted about this place. First of all, the overall setup is...different. It's like a fancy restaurant trying to look like a cheap pub, or maybe more like a cheap pub that's trying to look fancy? I'm not sure what they're going for. The server was great, she checked on us often and was very helpful. The menu is very small, the food very expensive, so we had high expectations. The clam chowder was underwhelming (where was the clam???), but the main courses (the cod and the meatloaf beef wellington) were DELICIOUS and beautifully presented! BUT, and I hate saying this...there was a hair in the middle of my food, the one thing I can't stand. And what we got in return was another dish to replace it but was barely 1/3 the size of the first I had, and a single free beer. I feel the customer service was half-hearted at best in that regard. Overall, yes, the food IS worth the price, but my experience was not a good one. I don't think I'd come back.
