The Food Shack

We had an excellent dinner today. The staff was very nice and quick. We first went up stairs to grab a table and got everyone’s orders. We had 6 people in our party with 1 kid. The table started with the beach nachos that were crunchy and a nice mix of beans pineapple and cheese. I wish I could put that white cheese sauce on everything. Kids hot dog was not burnt and came with chips. I had the chicken bowl with bbq sauce. The chicken was dry and sauce too sweet but the plantains were top notch. The rest of party all received different tacos ranging from chicken, beef, pork, shrimp and grilled fish. Overall favorite was the pork and lest was the ginger beef. It was nice we received complimentary chips and Pico before our food came out. The inside of the place was extremely clean and well decorated. Thank you for a nice family

The food was delicious! We had the small rice bowl with steak and a couple tacos. Love the teriyaki and sweet chili sauces! Definitely on the return list!

I really liked the food shack! It's a unique offering in the immediate area. I wished it opened earlier because the pitaya bowl was a great breakfast when I saved one for the next day. We got rice bowls with both pork and chicken at different times and thought they were both delicious fuel for the day. The sauces are not super special but are good on the side to add in moderation.

There was a little hiccup on our last order where our spam sashimi was really low effort and not in any way as advertised. They refunded me for the item when I called and were nice about it. I would go again when I am back in the area.

Really fun place. Nice food. Nice people. But it takes way too long to get served. Waited 45 minutes for simple dishes with not many other customers.
