Tavern in the Square Cranston

Great place... Amazing selection of cold tap beers. Excellent quality food. Even better service. Nate the bartender was especially friendly & knowledgeable about the menu and many different brews; didn’t steer me wrong. Also, my order didn’t come out exactly as requested. Tavern in the Square went above and beyond my expectations to make things right. Took a negative and turned it into a total positive. Definitely a place I recommend to grab a few drinks, apps and/or a great dinner.

Very accommodating. Screwed up our table on arrival but then we were treated with the utmost hospitality. Vegan options were not an issue, also our gluten free friend had lots of options. Staff was very friendly and offered us food that were miss ordered or unwanted from other tables at no charge. Points system is also cool.

My friend and I had gluten free appetizers. The vegetarian pizza was excellent.

Great new place in town. Good atmosphere, very busy even well past dinnertime on a Friday but you can make reservations ahead of time easy enough and I recommend that. Small menu dedicated to a narrow selection of well-made dishes. Great nachos for one or two people to split. Really good guacamole and a unique, almost fruity take on salsa. The waffle with the chicken and waffles was easily one of the best things I've ever put in my mouth. A few small misses on dinner: bacon on a burger that was too tough to bother with and the chicken that came with the waffles tasted great but was a little more dry than the syrup could make up for. Burgers were good but also came out a little over for how they were ordered. Nothing damning but that's the worst I can think of to mention. All in all a great experience and I look forward to my next meal there.

Decent place. Food was good but nothing special. It was good but not worth the money. Waitress was sweet but I asked for a new fork and I never got one. Luckily my friend got a burger and didn't really need hers.
