Food was good, service was meh. The server read the specials menu to us. Either memorize it, or just give us the paper to read ourselves. The food itself was pretty good, though I am not convinced the price the charge matches the quality of food. It almost feels like there is an upcharge in place due to its location.
We went on Father's Day, and this was my husband's first time eating there. At first I was a little annoyed that we asked for a high chair (twice) and two waitresses basically ignored us. When our waiter Cody came,he was awesome. He got us a highchair, and made the rest of our experience very nice. He is attentive, knows the menu, and is very personable. He wants to make sure that you have a nice time and good food. Not just with us,but I watched him with his other guests, and he gave the same attention. I would go back and ask for Cody any day.
Got very bland scallops and was just not worth the price. The restaurant itself was nice but the food was average at best. My husband got a steak dish and felt the same. Defiantly will not be going back. There are better places to eat. EDIT: To respond to the owner: it was a couple months ago around February. My bad for not saying how I thought it was average sooner.
I had the breakfast buffet this morning and cannot justify the price with what I got. The atmosphere is pleasant and the staff were nice, but the food was underwhelming. The bacon was beyond crispy, sausage links were overcooked, eggs reminded of Army mess hall eggs. The shrimp and grits were very bland. The French toast was pretty delicious, however, not requiring syrup at all. At the price tag, I would rather go to Golden Corral, where at least I would have more options.
I had a great meal and experience here. The staff were prompt, caring, and attentive. Food was excellent and the portions perfect. Really enjoyed the small community environment. Great place for a date with my wife as we both enjoyed our meals and our service. The food quality is higher than most of the surrounding area and not overpriced. Highly recommended.
