This place has gotten better. I remember a few years ago the service was absolutely terrible, and the food was pretty bad. My family went today and I was surprised. The employees were extremely nice and helpful. The food was pretty good too. I'm not sure it's quite a 5 star fast food restaurant, but I will come back for sure. The last review I gave for this place was on facebook, and it included a picture of my food on a dirty plate. Management was terrible then about the issue. Whoever is running things now seems to be doing much better.
I had a great lunch today, but the best part was the young lady behind the register. She loved her job and you could tell. I'm not sure what her name is, but she's a young black lady with blonde highlighted hair. She was friendly to each and every person that walked into the restaurant. She made a suggestion to a friend of mine that hadnt been to Captain D's in years to help her create a lunch combination. She was just so refreshing, for a lunchtime pick me up, her personality did it for me. I don't live in Anderson county, but the next time I'm there working, I know exactly where to go for a fantastic lunch experience.
Food was good but not really warm. I ordered the ultimate seafood platter. My fish, shrimp and crab tasted like it had sat for a long time under a heat lamp. The corn on the cob was cold to tepid. The baked potato was soft and done, but cold.
