Shores of Asbury RV Resort

The Shores of Asbury on Hartwell Lake is a little piece of heaven tucked away in Anderson, South Carolina. It is a gated RV resort with 24 hour surveillance. Our adventure started by receiving a warm/welcoming greeting from the owners Karen and Cheryl. I knew at this point our one month stay would be remarkable and like no other resort experience and it was! We opted to park on one of their premium sites which included a stamped concrete pad for our 45 foot RV, a picnic table, a fire pit and a graveled parking space for our extra vehicle. We had a panoramic view of the lake and sunrises and sunsets were spectacular. The amenities included the gated entry/exit, gift shop/store, boat slips, water park and swimming area for children and adults with lifeguards, a beach like feel with white sand, beautiful restroom/shower facilities that are well maintained, an exercise building with restroom facilities, a restaurant on site, and planned activities for children. Karen and Cheryl made our stay at The Shores of Asbury memorable. Whether it was greeting us upon check-in to waving goodbye when we left, recommending where to eat around town, to helping us with a flat tire. Yes, the ladies did it all!!! This is by far our all time favorite RV Resort. We will see you soon. Thanks Karen and Cheryl!!!

Very clean resort. August of 2021 was our visit. Staff was flexible and location was open and easy to access. Really hot that weekend. Would go back.

What a fun time! My 13yo son, husband, and I went for an hour. It is SUCH a workout, but I can’t tell you the last time I laughed this hard. The food was hot, freshly made-to-order, and so good! We tried the Double 2 Burger, the hot dog, and the bird dog. They were all delicious. Will definitely be back!

Shores of Asbury did not disappoint. We enjoyed our weekend. Grounds are clean, amazing showers in the shower house, beautiful beach area, and the obstacle course was loads of fun for the entire family. The staff were all very friendly and extremely accommodating, and the food was delicious. One of the best burgers and zucchini sticks I have ever had.

My only complaint is there is no grass or trees- so it gets hot. Be sure to take canopies and make sure the AC in your RV works good.

Came across this place on my Campspot app and booked a spot within minutes! Definitely worth a stay! The staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome, comfortable, and make sure you’re having the best time you can. Mrs. Karen stopped by our spot multiple times with her generosity and friendliness as well as other staff members making sure we were having the best time we could! Yes, it is still under construction…but it will not keep you from having a good time! The campsites are nice and easily accessible. Bath houses are very nice and have awesome shower heads. Could use some shelving, but I’m sure that is in the future. The kids loved it, the adults loved it. We’ll be going back. I could go on and on about this place, or you could just go yourself!!!
