Nothing but great things to say about this restaurant. I wish we would have known about it earlier. We got several dishes from appetizers to dessert, every meal was delicious! The service was also top notch. Setting is comforting, classy and fresh. Really awesome addition to the Bluffton area. Will be back soon!
They are open for lunch on Thursday, so great day to visit bluffton farmers market and have a nice lunch. Started with South African wine which was very good and hibiscus tea. Had the Roti ,that is vegetables rolled in like a pastry wrap with two condiments to use with it , very tasty. Lunch came to $76.
Happy to see vegetarian chooses on the menu, Shared a desert that was light and not overly sweet. Atmosphere is pretty, light and open with indoor and outdoor dinning. Loved the bathroom walls with the hand painted motif.
One of our favorite times of the week is Brunch after Church on Sunday. We have a favorite ‘go to’ that I have written about in the past. Today we decided to try Okan. We now have two favorite venues for Brunch.
From the moment we were greeted until the time we exited Okan everything and everyone was superb. As we were new, Alexander, our server took us through the menu. What an outstanding young man. The way he was so positive about the restaurant and menu made us think that he was a part owner. Exactly what you want from the waitstaff. After our meal, however, we determined that Alexander was just being genuinely honest about the character, quality, and thoughtfulness of the cuisine. Well done Alexander.
We tried the following, Jackson’s Bara (not pictured), The Biscuit Sando, the Open Face BLT, and a side of Breakfast Potatoes. We also started with their Dark Roast Pressed Coffee and later tried their $5 Sangria. Everything was over the top delicious. The preparation and presentation were terrific. One of the reasons we were so pleased was the presence of a myriad of unusual dishes and preparations. Unique taste and extremely hands-on, home made specialties. Home made biscuits, focaccia bread, and sauces were amazing. Chef Bernard is extremely thoughtful and gifted in both building the menu and executing its dishes.
Do yourself a favor and try this restaurant. First class. We will be back.
My wife and I ate here tonight for the first time and were blown away by the flavors and textures of everything. We had the lamb tartare, jerk goat, brussel sprout salad, duck confit with escargot and the puff puffs for dessert. We can not wait to come back and eat here again as everything was incredibly well balanced, flavorful and unique. Our server Rodrick was top notch as well. He explained every detail about our meal, offered suggestions and really just made our whole experience 5stars. We will be coming back again and again in part for the amazing food and cocktails, but also because of the great service as well.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Okàn restaurant in Bluffton, SC and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. I ordered the pork shank with corn bread and sweet potato mash, and every bite was a burst of flavor. My family tried the curry oxtails and they were equally impressed. Everything from the food to the service was top-notch. I highly recommend Okàn restaurant to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience.
