Big Bamboo Café

We had a wonderful time at Big Bamboo Café this past week! We were a party of 17 traveling to HHI on vacation, and our server Bern was amazing! As a server myself, Bern exceeded our party’s expectations and provided us with an experience we were talking about for days after. The food was delicious, and Bern was extremely helpful and had a smile on his face the entire meal. He is a great asset to your team! Thanks for a memorable dining experience!

I wish I could go with a 3 1/2 stars for my review. There was absolutely nothing wrong with this restaurant, but there was nothing great about it either. I went with their nachos, which they claim are "touted by locals as the best on the island." Obviously, the competition must be limited, because the nachos were inoffensive but not very interesting. I ended up eating half of my son's pasta with red sauce, which was somehow more tasty. My fiance liked his fish and chips, and described the fish as better than anything he'd eat when he wasn't on the coast (aka, back home in Ohio). We sat outside in the covered eating section during the rain, which was a pretty nice experience (except when it got super windy). I did go inside to use the restroom and was glad we opted for the outdoor seating, since the indoor seating area was more dimly lit and had a bit of a bar vibe. Live music was nice, although we only heard a bit of it. I probably wouldn't seek out this restaurant again if we're back in Hilton Head, but I also wouldn't actively avoid it, either.

Stopped in the other night on my last night in town. My wife and I were served by the bartender, Ty. He was incredibly nice and knowledgeable about the menu and drink items. The manger, Evan, talked to us for a bit. The atmosphere was so welcoming it made me wish we'd found the place sooner. Go check out Evan and Ty for a great experience!

Some of the best food on the Island!! Definitely the best entertainment around as a local this is a go to any night of the week. Every staff member is on point and friendly and the music they have here is always so cool and is sure to be a great time!!

I loved that I decided to stop for dinner at the Big Bamboo! They have outstanding food and great variety. There was also live music while I was there that I really enjoyed. The service I recieved was top notch! The bartender, Kacie, did a fantastic job recommending food and drinks to me throughout the night. All in all a 5 star experience! I will definitely be back to visit.
