Taqueria El Potrero

We were somewhat lost here when we visited. The food was okay and I feel like we just weren’t sure what to order. No hot tortilla chips — seems like they were from a bag. Also drinks are bottled - no free refills. Also they were cooking outside. I found that intriguing but curious about that too.

Service and good was fast but had one problem that they will fix on our next visit

Walking in from the street, i felt like i walked straight into Mexico. It's a small restraunt with a smaller menu but had pretty good options. Chips and salsa was ok, but food turned out great, very authentic. Drinks are in bottles instead of fountain and they were options on menu you couldn't find elsewhere. There was one waitress and she was working her tail off but had no problem keeping up with everyone. All in all it was a pretty good restraunt, we had no issues

Delicious, authentic Mexican in a basic, casual environment. Vacationing in Hilton Head and felt like I had transported to Mexico. Not your typical run of the mill Mexican restaurant, in a good way.
